We are proud to announce that we have officially opened the 2019-2020 travel registration for RoughRiders Hockey Club Cedar Rapids (RRHC). As always, we appreciate your patience with the Board and Directors and I getting registration opened. A lot of thought and time that has gone into improving our overall operations and planning of this upcoming season. Overall 2018-2019 brought many positive changes in the  direction of the club, but it was just the first step of many that we, as a hockey community, need to take over the next following years.

Home Games
The first step in the right direction is the creation of league play within Iowa or the Mid-West. Last season we were approached by MWAHA in late-September about potentially participating in the Mid-West Hockey League (MHL). At that point, our entire season was already planned. In anticipation of the MHL happening again we have added weekend ice and referees to our budget for home-games for our teams. This has had a slight increase to overall tuition fees, however, the more home-games or local games played means less money spent on travel costs.

Registration Fee
The next step was the creation of a process to eliminate players coming to tryouts for 'cheap ice time'. This is unfair to the families and players that have entrusted myself, our staff, and our Board of Directors to provide the fairest possible tryout. With that said, all players will be asked to pay a non-refundable $250 registration fee that will be paid upon checkout and conclusion of registration.
